To create systemic change, we advocate for a new policy framework that recognizes and incentivizes sustainable companies in Switzerland. Therefore we launched a Manifesto for the Recognition of Sustainable Enterprises. We call on all Swiss decision-makers to support our initiative and sign the manifesto.

This foundry, based in Geneva, Switzerland, offers a unique tribological solution for high-performance mechanical joints. Its unique manufacturing process enables bronze to be deposited on steel surfaces.

Goal 1
Core business
By 2027, we increase the circularity of our bronze supply with 90 % coming from our machining chip recovery procedure, compared to 74 % (305 t) used in 2021*.
* The maximum threshold of 90 % is imposed by our manufacturing process and quality requirements.
Goal 2
Internal operations
By 2030, we achieve a recycling rate of 90 %, compared to 85 % in 2021*.
* Representing a reduction in our waste of 43.2 t, compared to a total of 917 t in 2021. Equivalent to a 5 % reduction in annual waste tonnage. Typical waste: foundry dross, flue gas cleaning sludge, PET, IT equipment, ceramic fibre, paper and graphite board.
Goal 3
Internal operations
By 2030, we reduce our greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by 50 % compared to 713 tCO2eq in 2021, and by 2024, we commit to the SME Climate Commitment*.
* Measures to reduce Scope 3 emissions are currently being calculated and will be available by the end of 2023. See SME Climate Hub.

Internal operations
By 2027, we guarantee the well-being of our employees, achieving a job satisfaction rate of at least 70 %, based on our survey carried out in 2023*.

Kugler bimétal SA operates in Switzerland. The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all Kugler Bimetal SA operations carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
