Goal 1

Core business

By 2026, we recover 80 % of our rubber waste so that it can be recycled and incorporated into our products*.  


* Rubber accounts for 75 % of the raw materials injected at BIWI. The introduction of waste recovery reduces our waste by 7 t in 2026, compared with a total of 10 t in 2020. Typical waste: unvulcanised rubber (raw material scrap), vulcanised rubber (reject parts), partially vulcanised rubber (sprues & injection channels).

Core business

By 2024, 80 % of the plastic products offered to customers is biosourced or recycled*.  


* Biosourced: Derived from biomass, through an eco-responsible process). Plastics account for 20 % of the raw materials injected at BIWI.

In 2021, BIWI developed biosourced or recycled technical materials that can meet watchmaking specifications and are systematically offered to customers when the technical criteria can be met.

Internal operations

By 2026, we achieve an employee satisfaction rate of 80 %*.   


* The satisfaction rate is to be assessed annually, starting in 2024, by an external body (not yet defined).

Scope of pledges

BIWI SA operates in Switzerland. The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all operations of BIWI SA carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
